The Fountain of Life (“FOL”) is committed to being clear and transparent about how we use, store and protect your private information. We also want to let you know your rights of deleting, opting out or correcting any private information we hold. What Information We Collect and Store: If you register for our website, make a purchase on the website or sign up for our newsletter, we collect and store some of your private information that might include: your name, email address, physical address, password and login information to our website, telephone number, and any other information volunteered by you, such as information on contact forms or scholarship forms, emails to us, or postings on any ‘affiliated forums’ (such as Facebook, for example). We also keep records of all purchases made. You should not provide FOL with any personally identifiable information (or share it on our affiliated forums) unless you would like that information to be used by us in accordance with this Policy. What We Do With Your Information: We DO NOT share your private information with third parties without your consent (with the exception of the service companies listed below that we work with), unless required to do so by law, or for the rare event of legal process. We use your information to email you communications about courses, your account and other purchases from the website, and to send you updates of articles, events, and other relevant news or promotions if you subscribe to the newsletter. We do not store your credit card information. This is handled by secure, encrypted financial companies such as paypal. If you give us your bank or credit card details over the phone, it is deleted or destroyed immediately after making the authorized charge.
Service Companies We Work With: FOL works with several professional service providers that all meet EU GDPR standards in security and privacy. Our mailing lists are maintained by mailchimp.com which also stores copies of your name, address, purchase record, and information such as your internet IP address, and IP address physical location, as is standard in mail-list companies. If you email us directly, we store a copy of that email in our FOL gmail account, as well as our professional webserver, digitalocean.com. And, we use the professional cloud storage platform dropbox.com to keep lists of registrants for courses and events.
Your Rights to Delete, Opt-Out, Make Corrections: If you are on our newsletter, it is because you have opted-in or you have purchased a product or participated in an event, or otherwise expressed interest in our services. At any point you can unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in every email.
You can also email us or use the contact form to request that we delete your information from our system, or that we correct it if it is incorrect (to the extent that it is possible whilst still complying with USA tax laws. We must keep transaction records for 7 years).
A Note for Parents: The website and any other affiliated forums, are not directed to children under eighteen (18) years of age. FOL does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under eighteen (18) years of age. This website, including the information contained within the website and programs made available through the website, are intended for use by adults. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website. By using the website, you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
To the extent you are a parent desiring to share this website with your child, you may do so only as long as you abide by the following requirements:
You may not share this website with children under the age of 13, or any content discussing sexuality, or with images of nudity with children younger than 18.

These third-party websites have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. FOL is not responsible for any actions or privacy policies of such third parties. Security: To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of any data you disclose online. By using this website, or associated services, you accept the inherent security risks of providing information and dealing over the internet and will not hold FOL responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or willful default.
